The icy hand of winter has a strong grip on the land. The days are still short and cold. There will be many more weeks to play in snow and skate on ponds. Icicles hanging from my house have been growing large. Usually they form long spikes but some of the icicles grow into other interesting shapes. They are specially nice to see up close with the reflections and sunlight shining through.
