Hello, I'm Otter, a boy growing up in a story and comic strip set in the early 1900s, though “growing up” may be a bit overly optimistic. To be honest, I'm hardly growing at all. I'm considered unusually small for my age, but what I lack in size I more than make up for in mischief...so I'm told, and far more often than I need reminding. Not ordinary mischief I assure you! If mischief must happen, and it somehow always does, I rather call it “accidental mischief”. I think that's how I ended up in Canada one day.

At my age it is often very difficult to sit still. It's just about impossible to remain obediently confined to the pages of a storybook-in-progress while I await its completion! As a result I've developed a little habit of wandering off to go exploring. I know I'm really not supposed to wander too far but every once in a while I sneak out from the pages of the book to play in the present day. In these posts I am sharing with you some adventures from the book and present day explorations depicted in paintings, illustrations, stories, photos and comic strips. Even though I'm little I do most of the heavy lifting around here, but every once in a while "dad", the author/illustrator, pitches in.

At the bottom of posts and pages you may find a little coffee cup icon,  a sort of virtual tip-jar, linked to my "Buy Me a Coffee" page. Since I'm not old enough yet to drink coffee I'll swap that for something that I actually do live on, such as ice cream, cookies, chocolate milk and at this time of year -hot chocolate! 🙂 We'll have some fun with it. Any support is very much appreciated and helps get the book a step closer to completion and launch. Thank you!
