Reflections of Ice Hockey

boys hockey reflections on wet ice

Since we aren't seeing much organized league hockey this year, all we can do is reflect on past seasons and look forward to new ones. This photo, from a season long ago, has some great reflections. Here the players are warming up on ice that is still wet after a fresh flooding. Those conditions were perfect for a nice photo of the players and their reflections in the ice.

It is specially important for the goalie to avoid letting his pads get wet and heavy before the game even starts. I have a bit of a habit of falling, flopping and splashing until my goalie pads are so wet and heavy that I can hardly move. Coach knows I can't help it. Otters are at home in icy ponds so he always has to remind me to not swim around in puddles during the warm-up skate!
